September 27, 2000: This announcements page goes live on the web.

April 4, 2001: The Berry delegation returns triumphant from Washington; the Where Are They Now? page goes online.

July 25, 2001: There is now an official Berry Model Arab League website, after about two years of my hosting this semi-official one (kudos to Scott McIntosh for the stylish new site!).

This roughly coincides with my retirement from an active role in the Model Arab League program after a decade of participation and service. In the coming weeks, the former semi-official site will metamorphose into something along the lines of "Smokey's MAL Memories;" I will, however, continue to maintain and update the MAL Resources & Links, Where Are They Now?, and Intro to the Arab World pages and will be adding more of my photographs as time goes on.

September 2, 2001: This semi-official site closes and becomes part of the "Smokey's MAL Memories" section of al-Qâhira fî Amrîkâ; please visit the new, beautiful, official website of the Berry Model Arab League.
