Bouncing Downloads
Earlier today I checked in Ilya Sherman’s patch to bounce the Downloads folder (or stack) in the Dock when a download finishes (Mac OS X 10.5 only). The new feature will be in tomorrow’s nightly build and in the forthcoming Camino 2.0 Beta 1.
This is Ilya’s first Camino patch to land, but he has several others in progress, including Growl notifications for downloads. At first glance, it seems like he may be looking to take over from Nick Kreeger as “Mr. Download” for Camino—but we’re happy to have him with us regardless of what he’s working on.
While we wait to see what’s next from Ilya, enjoy your bouncing Downloads folder!

Great patch.
In case people have stumbled here looking for the code to do this themselves (like I did), this is pretty much all it takes:

Glad we could help.
It looks like we originally found out how to do that from this post at A Hard Day’s Programming, but it sounds like all sites posting the code need some more search engine love if people are stumbling across this post.
